Abstract: This experiment used the current stem-segment with shoot apexes and segments as explants in callus induction and rapid propagation of Chaenomeles speciosa. The optimal medium for bud and callus induction was MS+2.0 mg.L-1 6-BA+1.0mg. L-1 NAA, and the optimal propagation medium was MS+1.0 mg.L-1 6-BA+0.05-0.1 mg.L-1 NAA. The proliferation coefficient was 6.59. For callus differentiation, the optimal medium was MS+ 1.0 mg.L-1 6-BA+ 0.05 mg.L-1 NAA, and for rooting, 1/2 MS+1.0 mg. L-1 IAA. The ratio of rooting was 86.7%, and that of survival was more than 90% when small intact plants were transplanted on perlite seedbeds.
