Abstract: Studies have confirmed that the biological effects of magnetic field and magnetically treated water differ with different magnetic treatment or processing time. Magnetic treatment could increase seed germination, seedling growth and root elongation, for example. This paper discusses research into the effect of magnetic treatment on seed germination to promote the application and development of magnetic treatment in agriculture in terms of seed absorbance and respiration, seeds inside physiologically active substances, and related metabolic enzymes, combined with the free radical theory and electrical potential difference theory.
