Abstract: To develop and optimize the technology to extract lappaconitine and ranaconitine from Aconitum sinomontanum Nakai, we detected comprehensive extraction rates as an index by high-performance liquid chromatography. The orthogonal test was used for optimizing the extraction technology. Lappaconitine and ranaconitine were extracted with 10 times 80% methanol and 2% material amount of HCl added to the material powder, then refluxed for 6 h under 75°C. The optimized technique is stable and can be used for extracting active components from A. sinomontanum.
