地质时期桉属的研究

摘要: 大洋洲一直被认为是桉属植物的世界分布中心。但随着桉属化石先后在中国西藏、四川的发现,及中国江西有着与地质时期川藏及现在澳大利亚相似的植物区系成份,并且1903年以来引种赤桉栽培成功的事实基于板块学说对桉属植物的起源进行了探讨,推断为若干年前,桉属植物的起源是在北半球,经过漫长的地质变迁、气候变化,迁移到南半球,并以此作为新的分布中心。

Abstract: Oceania was thought to be the distribution centre for Eucalyptus in the world. But the fossils of Eucalyptus were found in Xizang Autonomous Region and Sichuan Province of China recently. There is the recent flora composition in Jiangxi Province of China, which is similar to that in Xizang, Sichuan, Australia in geological ages. Based on plate Tectonics Hypothesis, Eucalyptus was originated from northern hemisphere and immigrated to the southern hemisphere through a long geological time which became their new distribution centre from then to today.
