Abstract: Guangxi has a diverse cycad flora with about 6 or more species of Cycas. They are Cycas revoluta in NE & SW Guangxi, Cycas guizhouensis Lan et R.F. Zou(? =Cycas szechuanensis Cheng et L. K. Fu) in NW Guangxi, C. balansae Warburg in W. Guangxi ,Cycas micholitzii Dyer and Cycas miquelii Warburg in SW Guangxi, Cycas shiwandashanica Chang et Y, C. Zhong in S Guangxi. Cycas taiwaniana Curruth. perhaps also occurs in E Guangxi. Unfortunately, most wild cycad populations in Guangxi have seriously being destroyed. Almost all cycads, especialy C. micholitzii, C. balansae and C. shiwandashanica, are getting relicts and endangered species. To rescue cycad wildlives should be an urgent task for human today.
