Abstract: Plant hormone brassinosteroid (BR) acts as an important regulator in plant growth and development, and responses to environmental stimuli. BR also regulates the agritraits of many crops. Analyses on mutant phenotypes and gene functions provide the information on BR biosynthesis and physiological roles. This review focuses on the BR recent progresses of BR biosynthesis and metabolism, the underlying signaling pathways, and further the interplay with other hormones.
