Abstract: The influence of PP333 with benzylaminopurine (BA) on growth of Rehmannia glutinosa plantlets was studied in this paper. Combinations of (0.5 mg.L-1) BA and different concentrations of PP333 inhibited the growth of roots, stems and leaves significantly. Plantlets were short and small, and roots appeared later. The roots looked like clubs or balls initially. Compared with (0.5 mg.L-1) BA,(0.5 mg.L-1) BA with lower concentrations of PP333, at 0.01 or 0.1 mg.L-1, improved the extension and thickness of stems. MS medium supplied with (2 mg.L-1) PP333 and (0.5 mg.L-1) BA increased the rate of bud formation of callus and pullulation of axillary buds observably, which is good for largescale in vitro propagation.
