Sugar Sensing and Signaling in Plants

Abstract: Sugars play a central role in plant life. They not only are important energy sources and structural components but also act as central signaling molecules controlling gene expression, growth and development. This paper reviews different mechanisms of sugar sensing and signaling, and the relationship between sugar signal and hormone signal.
