Abstract: Transmission electron microscopy was used to characterize the nucleus transfer across cell wall in nucellus of Pennisetum squamulatum．It was observed that a nucleus can move across cell wall through one or more than one channel with 0.33 to 0.68 μm in diameter,about 10 times of the plasmodesma width．The transferring nucleus is characteristic of condensed chromatin．
