A Review on Plant Secondary Substances in Plant Resistance to Insect Pests

Abstract: The present paper summarized the major types of plant secondary substances with resistance to insect pests in China and abroad, and the advancement of studies on effects of plant secondary substances on orientation to host plants, feeding and oviposition responses of insects. The roles of plant secondary substances in eco-system were introduced and the prospect of utilization of plant secondary substances in host plant resistance was also discussed.
