Abstract: An auxin-binding protein 1 cDNA was isolated from Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh.by RT_PCR and confirmed by DNA sequencing. Plant expression vector p35EZ was constructed to transform the explants of Cucumis sativus L. by Agrobacterium tumefaciens (Smith et Townsend) Conn Ti plasmid_mediated method. The intergration of the transgene was identified by PCR and Southern blot analysis. It was found that the parthenocarpic ability of transgenic cucumber plants was enhanced.
