Abstract: Photosynthetic electron transport and allocation and their relationship with photosynthesis and the chlorophyll content in flag reaves of rice were studied, using the combination of gas exchange and chlorophyll fluorescence measurements. Total photosynthetic e lectron transport flow rate (JF) and net photosynthetic rate (Pn) were relatively high and stable in two high yield cultivars of rice (`Peiai 64S/E32' and `Tesanai 2') in 50~60 days after transplanting and rapidly decreased after 80 days. The partitioning of noncyclic photosynthetic electron transport to carbon fixtation (Jc) decreased earlier than JF and Pn. There exsisted a positive correlation between JF or Jc and Pn or chlorophyll content, and a partitioning fraction to photorespiration(Jo/JF) was about 35%~50% in 50~70 days and after 80 days. 
