Abstract: The synthesis and secretion of α_amylases was induced by gibberellins (GAs) in the protoplasts of cereal aleurone layer cells.ABA repressed the effects of GA and stimulated the production of ABA_up_regulated proteins. Receptors for GA and ABA had been localized on the aleurone cell PM. Recent researches proved that G-p rotein,cGMP,Ca2+ and CaM,IP3 and protein phosphatases 1 and 2A were in volved in the signal transduction pathways of GA response event. Some cis_acting elements and trans_action factors which regulate GA_induced genes at the transcription level were cloned. They played an important role in the GA response event of the cereal aleurone cells. Some evidences showed that GA had effects on the post-transcription level of α-amylases.
