Abstract: The export of primary photosynthesis products from chloroplasts into t he cytoplasm is mediated by the triose phosphate translocators(TPT).The transporter is an integral membrane protein localized at the inner envelop of chloroplasts. This review focuses on aspects of the functions, the structures and the transport characteristics of TPT and gives an account of the progress achieved in this fields in the last decade.
