Abstract: The studying history of the taxonomic and nomenclatural Proplema on the form genera Dadoxylon and Araucarioxylon and the progress of research on these genera in resent years are reviewed in this paper. Based on the data, a new genus (Protoaraucarioxylon gen. nov.) has been established in the paper.
