Abstract: Within extant ferns Marattiales is one of the oldest groups which originated during Carboniferous period. The abundance of Marattialean taxa in the fosil record provides good opportunities to study the evolution and phylogeny within the group through time. In this paper, Marattialean fossils from Palaeozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic are recladistic analysis incorporating relevant data from both fossils and living members of this group is presented, showing the relationships between the major marattialean genera based on morphological characters
