Abstract: The chromosome helixes were induced and the chromosome C-bands were shown respectively, using microspores of onion as material, by means of double treatments of pancreation-urea and SSG method. The chromosome helixes and the chromosome C-bands of micropores in Onion were successfuly obtain. The pictures of helix were distinct, the chromosome C-bands were fundamentally identical with that of body cell, namely, all chromosomes showed clearly the terminal hands but no secondary constriction bands appeared. Moreover, the karyotype of microspore was studied also. Its results were fundamentaly identical with that of body cell, but there were some differences also. By comparison with that of body cell, the karyotype of microspore is more accurate and even more effectively reflecting the karyotype characteristics of onion.
