Abstract: Light signal transduction pathways are central components of the mechanisms that regulate plant development. Significant advances had been achieved on screening photoreceptor mutants and downstream component mutants. The purpose of this review was to highlight the progress made in our understanding of the components and regulatory mechanisms of the light signal transduction pathways in plant through the analysis of light-responsive mutants.
