Abstract: Biological observation of 418 field plants from endosperm culture and analysis of the nutrient components of their fruits were carried out for 4 years. In comparison with the controls, significant changes have been observed in the plant shape, leaf size and the shape and main nutrient components of the fruits. In addition, there is female and male differentiation in the endosperm plantlets induced from the same callus. The diversity in the progenies of endosperm plants has provided plentiful material for selection and breeding of new cultivars in Chinese gooseberry.
