A New Technique of Fast Paraffin Sectioning in Plant Tissues

Abstract

The vacuum drying oven has been widely used in modern biology research. We developed a fast method for paraffin sectioning of plant tissue using a vaccum drying oven in which temperature and negative pressure was controlled. The fixation, dehydration, transparency, and paraffin infiltration can be performed in the vacuum drying oven. Use of the oven in plant-tissue paraffin sectioning accelerates the infiltration rate, improves the quality of sections and save time. It also reduces the toxic chemical fumes with indoor pollution.
