Abstract: Peeling_pineapple (Anana comosus Merr. `Baoli') is one of the impr oved varieties of pineapples which can be eaten uncooked. The stem tips of peeling-pineapple seedlings were used as explants. After screening experiments from 10 culture media for bud induction and rooting, a stable high efficient procedure for macropropagation of peeling_pineapple was established. The proper bud induction medium was MS+6_BA 3mg/L (the unit is the same below)+NAA 0.1; the mult iplication medium was MS+6_BA 4+NAA 0.1; the rooting medium was 1/2MS+6_BA 2+NAA 0.2+active carbon 0.1%. We offer a macropropagation method to the large scale production of peeling_pineapple plants.
