Abstract: In this paper, we made a brief introduction to the recent progress of sequences analysis methods in molecular evolutionary biology. Especially, we addressed the significance of likelihood ratio test and Bayesian inference in the hypothesis_testing of molecular evolution and phylogeny reconstruction. Some successful application of new methods was presented. Furthermore, some important information resources were given.
