Abstract: The fossil plants which we studied in this paper were collected from the upper Corboniferous and Permian strata in Liujiang coalfield, Hebei Province. This region located in the area near the mixed flora zone between Cathaysia and Angara flora. The flora was composed of 86 species in 43 genus belonging to Filicopsida, Pteridospermopsida, Sphenopsida, Cycadopsida, Cordaitopsida, Ginkgopsida and Coniferae. The most plants were Filicopsida and Pteridospennopsida, the second precedence plants were Lycopsida, in proper order were Cordaitopsida, Ginkgopsida and Coniferae. This flora possessed charateristic of Cathaysia flora, we can made off six plants assembled in this flora. The evolution of palaeogeography has a same pace with flora evolution. In Bensi and Taiyuan formation we fond some layers limestone in sedimentary and distermined there are shallow sea water distributed in this area. This area was in the cabonate shelf-terriction and exploratiogenous sand bar, lagoon, tidal flat environments. In Shanxi formation only one or two layer limestone in sedimentary, indicated the sea water gradually withdraw from this area. the environments changed into indelta environments. At the end of Shanxi age, the delta environment was gradually replaced by the fluvial environment. In Shihezi age, the paleoclimate changed into dry climate, the river and lake sedimentary became vary developing. The evolution of Cathaysion Flora has close coordination to the palaeo geography evolution. Studing of this evolution regulars pattern has important magnificence for exploration and indicate the stratigraphic in mineral production.
