Abstract: The genetic diversity and the population structure of 183 germplasm resources of eggplant were analyzed by using SRAP markers. Overall, 215 bands were generated with 7 binds per primer on average. The mean genetic similarity coefficient was 0.623 among the cultivars (0.276-0.813), which suggested genetic differentiation among the germplasm resources. The germplasm resources were divided into four groups with a similarity coefficient of 0.345 6. Introgression exists in the four groups based on population structure analysis. The boundaries among different groups are obvious, and gene introgression among varieties is high.
