The total number of papers published in the five mainstream plant science journals (MP, NP, PC, PP and PJ) using rice, maize, wheat and Arabidopsis as research materials was 555 in 2020, 569 in 2021, and 681 in 2022, respectively. MP, NP, PC, PP and PJ are the same as shown in Table 1.
